Summary
  • "Black Eagle of Santa Fe" also known by the original title: "Die schwarzen Adler von Sante Fe" (Motion picture, 1965) When Comanches go on the warpath, settlers take refuge in Ft. Eagle Rock commanded by Capt. Jackson. Undercover agent Cliff McPherson arrives at the undermanned fort to lend advice and support. He learns that the Comanches have been stirred up by local rancher Morton who wants to take control of the oil under the Indians' reservation. McPherson informs Chief Black Eagle of Morton's treachery and the Indians then ride to the rescue of the cavalry when Morton's men attack the soldiers and settlers fleeing the fort
  • "White Comanche" also known by the original title: "Comanche blanco" (Motion picture, 1968) William Shatner plays mixed-race twin brothers: drifter Johnny Moon and Comanche renegade Notah. Wrongly linked to crimes committed by his unscrupulous brother, Johnny defends himself against assassins, wins back trust in Rio Hondo and ultimately faces Notah in a fight to the death
  • "I will fight no more forever" (Made-for-TV movie, 1975) Re-enactment of the story of Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce Indians, who lived in the beautiful Wallowa Valley of Idaho and Oregon. In 1877, President Grant opened the valley to white settlement, and the Nez Perce were given thirty days in which to move to the Lapwai Reservation. The government sent the one-armed soldier-chief, General Oliver Otis Howard, to clear all Nez Perce out of Wallowa Valley. Chief Joseph, in a succession of shrewd military actions, outmaneuvered ten pursuing units of the U.S. Army until his outnumbered band, sick, starving, and tired, finally surrendered after a seventeen hundred mile, one hundred eight day fighting retreat. On October 8, 1877, Chief Joseph made his noble speech, "from where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever."
  • "Gatling gun" (Motion picture, 1971) Before the invention of Doctor Gatling s gun, a powerful predecessor of the modern machine gun, the weaponry of the Wild West was limited to bow and arrow, Colt revolvers, Winchester rifles and the shotgun. All of that changed with Doctor Gatling s terrifying new technology. The Gatling Gun is a stirring dramatization of the introduction of this ultimate weapon to the frontier. The story centers on a small band of cavalry transporting the newfangled gun to their fort through hostile country, who cross swords with a tribe of Apache Indians hell-bent on taking the Gatling Gun for themselves
